THE ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

Last month, a prize distribution function was held in our school. Preparations for this function stated weeks ago. The whole school was cleaned and white washed. All the classrooms were decorated with colorful buntings, painting, charts, posters and portraits of our national heroes. All the students tool active part in the arrangement the function under the guidance of the teachers.

The function was held in the school hall, which presented a very beautiful look. The chairman of our school was the chief guest. He arrived in time. The principal and the teacher gave him warm welcome. Our scouts gave a guard of honor to him. Then he had a round of the school and visited each class. He appreciates the paintings of the students. When he entered the hall the students cheered and stood up to welcome him. The principal garlanded him. The function started with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed y a Naat. Then our principal presented the welcome address to the chief guest. In her speech, he highlighted the progress of the school in curricular and co-curricular activities. The result of the school at the S.S.C. examination had always been praise-worthy. Only because of the honest, hard work devotion, selfless motive and proper guidance by the learned teachers of the school. In games and sport our school won a name. In speech competitions the students of the school proved themselves matchless. The scouts of this school had always been participating in jamborees, camporees and funorees both at provincial and national levels. After the speech of the principal, the chief guest gave away the prizes certificates, cups and medals to the students who had made remarkable achievements in various fields. Brilliant students, outstanding debaters, sportsmen and prefects were given prizes in never-ceasing noise of cheering and clapping.

After giving away the prizes, the chief guest delivered a short speech. H appreciated the remarkable progress of the school. He praised very highly the dedication of the principal and teachers to the cause of education and promoting sense of citizenship among the pupils. He encouraged the students for their hard work in academic and co-curricular activities. In the end there was a tea party and holiday was announced for the next day.
